I am not sure where to put this topic so I hope it is fine here. I have seen DW Rail Lube, FP-10 and TW25B as acceptable cleaners and lubes. Oils such as Rem oil, Hoppe's and the like, I only recommend for the surface and small moving parts.

The Duty Treatment seems to be an issue for the Dan Wesson guys. I'm not one, so I don't know what hurts it, but Ballistol is an aerosol that is pretty gentle on most stuff, though I make no claims to what it may or may not due to the Duty Treatment. Then I put the pistol back together and hand racked the slide some more and then put 50 or so wonderful rounds through it.
