WebOct 23, 2024 · We purchased a pc with office 365 free trial on it. We use local install of 2016 instead of 365. I went into programs and uninstalled the previous install of trial version. Installed my local copy and valid license key. I see it is now activated. Everytime you open word/excel/outlook - the office 365 message pops up to start trial, buy or activate.
