WebThe heater control valve connector is only putting out 5.5v whether the temperature control knob is on or off and whether it is turned to hot or cold. The HCV requires 12v to operate as far as I understand. It seems that there is something that is causing the system to not deliver the required 12 volts to the HCV. What could be the problem? If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool.
